    当粉尘颗粒在0.2μm以下时,由于粉尘极为细小而产生如气体分子热运动的布朗运动,增加了粉尘与除尘布袋表面的接触机会,使粉尘被捕集。这种扩散作用与惯性作用相反,随着过滤气速的降低而增大,粉尘粒径的减小而增强。以玻璃纤维为例,纤维越细除尘效率越高(见表)。但纤维直径细的压力损失要比粗的纤维大,耐蚀性也越细越差。
